I'm still betting something else caused this TX to fry - it just doesn't happen for no reason.
Shorted wiring harness - bridge rectifiers - something has caused it and I would be VERY careful when plugging in a replacement.

Yeah but we did see a Sega transformer fry itself last Saturday night at Delarge's place. It was a cool smoke machine there for a while.
