Thud noise on power up

any info on a annoying Thud noise on power up  ((( or am i chasing a problem that cant be fixed  #@#

A bit more info would help? What machine for example?

If it is a WMS DMD machine the "thud" at powerup and power off is normal.

Yeah mate, Sys 3 inherently thud on power up. I think the sound is satisfying, like the machine has presence.

interestingly, if you switch off a system 3 gottlieb and power it back up immediately, a shrill sound emits from the speakers to warn the arcade attendant that somebody is messing with the machine.  ()

In an arcade I doubt you would hear a bear fart, hence operators never heard these and were not designed for a nice quiet home!

i had no issue with the noise, just my little daughter jump's when i flick it on... ^^^
