Video Modes
« on: October 09, 2013, 01:03:43 PM »
Just reading the thread on the greatest pinball toys which has started deviating towards video modes in the last few posts. Got me thinking about video modes which to be honest I really enjoy which doesn't seem to be the norm with everyone. Anyway I was thinking my favourite video mode is probably digital pinball (surprise surprise) on TOM. Then I realised that my ACDC doesn't have a video mode at all, first time this has crossed my mind. Is this the standard with all late model Sterns and even WOZ with the led screen and if so for me it's a step backwards.

Sorry I don't like the Tom video mode. Generally I don't think its a step backwards, just put it in if there is a good reason and enhances the title. Maybe the sterns are good enough without it
Still loving my Metallica Premium

I just replied in the best toy thread and i think if done right a video mode can be fun.

As i said there Shadow gets my vote for best that i have played/seen. And worth while as you can earn an extra ball.

Hmm, I like *most* video modes.  T2 & the one on CV where you need to follow the pattern with flipper buttons is so damm frustrating but addictive.

On The Getaway I have never seen  EB extra ball come up in Video Mode, is there a setting I can change to allow this?  Was thinking that if its on free play that EB setting is off.

I love the video on CFTBL where you "sort out" the peeping tom.   "FATALITY"

I played CV a couple of weeks ago and really liked the video mode. I found it addictive too.

Played GNR for the first time the other day and enjoyed the motorbike freeway racing video mode. Also like the no fear video mode.

Most hated video mode? Johnny mnemonic. Would deliberately try to avoid it in the matrix.

I didn't really like the video modes on Indy so much, the mine shaft one annoyed me, Fish Tales shooting the water skiers is good and easy to get extra ball when you get the hang of it, BSD werewolves is OK not annoying but not funny like FT..
