I have been looking for an MM for the last 8 weeks or so. I know they don't come up too much and they were too pricey anyway. Maybe there will be one that will come up soon a bit cheaper that I can pounce on.

MMLE has been oversold by 300 units.

There are positions now being offered up for sale for a premium (over and above the initial deposit) from those fortunate enough to get a slot.

I have never seen under a MM, I assume the original does not have the big circuit board under the playfield but more in the backbox.

Yeah mate, an original MM has the standard 3 boards in the backbox and the underside only has a series of small boards to hold the lights for the inserts.

Here's an original I have for comparison. Sorry about the filth, this was an untouched as is pre-restoration photo.

Time will tell I guess as to whether it was a sensible decision to shift a majority of the backbox components and circuitry to the underside of the playfield - particularly right next to the troll solenoids which pop up and down regularly during the game.

I was thinking that myself -  that the playfield is going to suffer more vibration than the backbox but I suppose it would be a saving in wiring. Might be a pain to peform repairs in the future, curious on Mike (Homepin's) thoughts as well.
