trying to find a Windows XP with a product key
« on: October 19, 2013, 01:35:36 PM »
Hi guys as the title describes trying to partition one of my macs to load windows on it to run my 3D drawing package as the old laptop is about to die. I have the xp windows cd but because they came installed there is no product key (16 number code normally on the case).

Anyone have a copy to sell cheap or know where I can download cheap safely????

any help much appreciated.

Cheers

I hate to say it but Google is a good source for this information, aside from illegally obtaining a key you can also purchase keys from Microsoft and from memory quite cheaply.
We still use XP for FAT testing at work so I'm sure they still sell the keys.

Just remember to search using the correct service pack number you have installed and if you decide to go the wrong down that one way street find a version that doesn't require a key aka is already activated.

There will be NO crapple products in my factory and people arriving with iPhones will need to check them at the front desk or turn around and leave!

%.% %.% %.% that's probably one thing I don't have (iphone), hardly use one or carry one so can't justify buying an expensive iphone...

What I know is that Apple is not compatible with ANY programs I run and their products are made to "look pretty" rather than be a functional business tool.

+1 (based on my IT experience over past 15 years).

Just integrate your life with Apple and be done with it, all you have to do is take one step out of the closet or fruit bowl.......
Think of how easy life could be by not having to program and ****** everything because it has already been done for you.......

Yes, but if you type skript then it is OK.

That is so malicious code does not come through.

That is EXACTLY the problem - I want to be in control and be able to program things the way I want and need them NOT the way some boffin at crapple decides I want it.....

:-) bite any harder Mike and you'll be through the line!

But seriously everything consumer I have that I don't want to think about it apple because I'm just plain lazy and all my test and mame gear is overclocked dual cores running xp because it really was the last of the uncomplicated windows platforms.
But you are right Mike Apple for show, PC for the pro.
