G'day g'day

Hello all!

First of all what is the go with all these symbols???? What is %)% or am I supposed to find the corresponding sticky or become enlightened? Any way...

Next up I've been trawling here for a little while because I spend a fair bit of time over at the AA forum primarily because I'm a bit more arcade orientated but essentially I'm an early 80's child so I got to grow up with a SS Sinbad in the shed and a one armed bandit so obviously I'm a tragic.

I'm an electrician by trade and electrical engineer by profession in the rail industry around the upper Illawarra area and my first job was a dodgem and arcade attendant at ulladulla funland, did I mention I was a tragic????

So the brass tacks is I'm still on the hunt for a SS Sinbad to replace the hole in my heart from when the old man sold his on for $150 nine years ago!!!! Or something Gottlieb chimer from the era probably not as exey as JP but just as fun as Sinbad.
Oh yeah also I just purchased my dream machine which most of you should know as the hybrid pin/arcade machine- ice cold beer!

So that's probably enough about me..

What's with arcaders in Bulli?
There must be some weird vortex in the area with a direct link to the good old days.

I'm in the burgher and I'm happy to help any one in the illa / Sth Sydney area with most anything.

You guys are killing me with these symbols!

If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Good to see some pinball love in Helensburgh.

I lived in Bulli for nearly 20 years and didn't even know the other guys, TM was literally just down the road and around the bend.

Is this something I'm going to get from meets or is there some thread somewhere that started all this? I'm sure you are all aware that those symbols baffle search functions because if their syntax.
Also I'm sure I'm making a dick of myself here so I guess I'll just wait it out until I can unravel it.
