Howdy from Shane in Canberra
« on: October 29, 2013, 06:46:43 AM »
Howdy all, just getting back into the madness, err I mean hobby after about 5 years off. Currently running a Cosmic Princess which I picked up in Newcastle about 10 years ago and a STTNG which I was fortunate enough to come across when looking at another game just over a month ago. The ST was filthy dirty and needed a lot of minor tidbits sorted out. Have literally just now finished the playfield strip down, clean polish and re-assembly and I'm going to fire her up when the sun rises. About 50 hours and lots of parts and LED's. Never again! Arrgh! Only thing to do now is connect the aux out pad on the DCS board to a mid sized PA with subs and crack a beer!

Cosmic Princess is a rare and interesting machine. Good player as well - Stern should have made more !

%)% I have a cosmic princess in pieces ready for restore at the moment that was given to me. What colour is your coin door, chrome or painted silver? Also I do not have any legs for it, were the legs chrome or painted silver also?

KTM, Princess' coin door and legs are currently in hammer finish. I did them in this color about 2 weeks ago. The legs I have were originally chrome and when I did the door I went over it with a flap disk and it looked it had been chrome at one point but I'm happy with the hammer finish (apart from the couple of oversprays). BG is pretty ordinary but the PF is nice.

Thanks it is really hard to tell from the blurry flyer pics on the net. I'll have to work it out before I finish the resto.
