I played it for a few hours at Pinball Warehouse a few years ago, it was set up properly and fully working.

Couldn't have been too bad if you played it for that long. As a side note, after Dennis Hopper's death a few months back, his personal HUO Waterworld only fetched about 2k at private auction. The provenance of that machine would be worth it alone

It was on free play and one of only two machines that were for public play at the time.

Fair enough, but yes - there are better playing machines out there than waterworld for sure.

Remember the other title that was there?

CV

I spent about 4 hours a day for 3 days straight playing CV at the warehouse to the point where I had to be nearly physically removed from the machine.

I picked up a really nice Waterworld a few years back for apx $1200 unshopped. Shopped n its a far better n fun machine. Dennis Hoppers voice is good n now that he has passed, its like a Dirty Harry machine, also fun n worth a little more once these older actors pass on (may clint go another ten yrs but I think he is 83 ?)...

Waterworld, cheap pin, well built. Gottlieb design is very very well thought out.

If u haven't lifted up a playfield on a Waterworld, its definitely worth a look to see sensational engineering. very well thought out. I was blown away at how much thought had gone into this design.

Brett, does a fast shot to the right side orbit, exiting out of the left side orbit..go SDTM on your Waterworld?

always does on mine..and the lane guides are all in their factory position. Just need it to direct the ball 5 degrees left to the left flipper to avoid the SDTM..

half the time yes.  the answer is pre-judge that really fast shot with a well timed nudge.

Its like the loop on X Men, massively fast, n u have to get ready for it everytime or it gets ya !

Also, add some blue leds under the blue wave/water machine thingy which flips over to reveal ship one side n wave the next from memory.

I have too many machines so I forget which ones have what on them exactly unless I have played it recently. Different coloured LEDS on Waterworld look sensational. Espescially the blue when well placed. I have added a few spot lights targeting certain things. Hand painting n dressing up the jet ski toys n other toys works a treat as well on Waterworld. The cabinet colours are fantastic. Mine are like brand new. Game looks a treat from any angle. Even add a few well placed leds behind the translite. Cant remember if I did mine yet or not ???
