.....someone pays $590.00 US for a partial set of plastics -

Then a few weeks later someone pays $1,225.00 for a repro set (that weren't that well made apparently) -

I think I paid a couple hundred more for the full game!

Not sure if licencing is an issue (there's mostly just jungle on the plastic set), but these sure need reproduction I would have thought.

That is insane. If CPR reproduce the plastics set then it would be 1/10th that price.

Aside from the Raptor Pit plastic (which has the words "Raptor Danger" on it), and perhaps the slings (which have a pretty generic looking dinosaur on each of them them) the rest are just jungle stuff. Not sure if the slings or Raptor plastics present any sort of problem, but the rest would only have artist copyright and not any Universal issue. I don't really need any, but would buy a set if they were done by CPR just to improve the look and keep the originals as spares..

There is a plastic above the ramp that is the Gateway to the park that has 'Jurassic Park' written on it

Agree, no doubt that one is an issue. I was lumping that in with the ramp itself and didn't consider it, and thinking more about the playfield flat plastics. I guess it could be left out of a repro set of course.
