Sealing backglasses

What's the best way to prevent further damage to a backglass? I have one with an area which has begun to peel but I don't think triple thick will do the job this time. Is Mylar ok to use?

Mylar can save a backglass, but if you misalign etc, you can't peel back.

maybe the triple with the glad wrap on top to bed it down first ,remove glad wrap when dry, then more triple thick on top....my work mate did this and it came out really good, he has steady hands.

About to clear coat mine too. Not hijacking. Going to leave the tape on there. I'm thinking if I remove it it will damage the artwork.

+1, i reckon this would work ok on this bg, especially if some of the TT can be made to go between the cracked/lifting artwork and the glass.
I did this to my KISS bg.. worked pretty well, not perfect but it was a BIG improvement on what it was beforehand  and the lifting was a LOT worse than in the pic in Crashramp's post.

I'm not familiar with the glad wrap, triple thick combo. I'm guessing I very carefully clean the glass as best I can without disturbing the flaking paint, then spray the TT and lay glad wrap over the area and push down to seal? Will the glad wrap not stick to the TT if it's left until dry?

Yes it does look nasty but the picture makes it look bigger than it really is and it's 100% better than the previous glass I had. All in all I'm happy with it.

The glad wrap won't stick to the TT.

A few things to be mindful of, as already mentioned try to get some TT in under the artwork and use it as glue but be careful not to spray it too close which may cause the artwork to blow away with the blast from the TT can.

When you put the glad wrap over the TT you will only get one shot at it but try to avoid any crinkles in the glad wrap as the TT will dry with the crinkles in it as well.
