some advise on keep it or move it

I am a pinball man through and through and I have had the hankin tabletop for many years. Probably 20 years now. I personally don't play it except for maybe a hand full of games per year. My grand kids play it when they come but that may add the game tally to 100/year.

My question is do you think I should keep it in the gamesroom or turf it and buy another pinball maybe. If its sell what are these things worth? Its a 20" tabletop Hankins, jamma with a 60 in one PCB. It may need degaussing but I have a degausser to provide with it.

All thoughts welcome. My dilemma is whether a gamesroom needs one or not and I have been tossing with this idea for years and may need that push. Thanks

I've had my Frogger Konami cocktail cabinet since I was about five years old. Since becoming a pinball man like yourself, the thought has always crossed my mind that it is taking up pinball space, but I think every games room needs an arcade cabinet and I could never get rid of it for sentimental reasons.

Did the one offered here Feb 4th 2012 for $450 ever come back from your mate the furniture/ cabinet maker who was reverse engineering it?

Its always a tough call Rob I'm tossing up if I should get rid of my Mame upright and 5c scales for the same reason there never used and take up valuable pin space.   

   When I sold my table top I didn't miss it at all except for the work bench space

nah, sold one for $450 (original 78 model with upgraded LCD screen) to a guy who was going to reverse engineer and do something with them but haven't seen him cause I moved, the other untouched n unrestored original I sold to a collector for $750 ish.....I never did a thing to them after they went, both very reliable. I picked them up cheap so I passed them on near cost n split any profit with the bloke I got them from originally...sometimes I am kicking myself I sold the original untouched 78 model one....but pinballs take up too much space.....I gave away a brand new pool table just after 3 months cause I needed the room for pins...sad but I reckon everyone has done something similar.

I to reckon a games room needs a cocktail machine they where everywhere when I was a kid so I got a taito Phoenix for old times sake plus it's my fav game lol I hardly play it but it just looks good near the pins so I'd keep the Hankin remember there hard to get.

Im PIn through and through    But back in the day, ocasionaly I would but 20c into a spacies.  It didnt last very long  and I could never get a free game   

I have my up right  48-in one and Ill never sell it    .Often our vistors like to play it and I think all games room need one         Howzat
