Pinball 2000 Starwars Ep1
« on: March 30, 2014, 09:16:36 PM »
Hey guys, I am in the process of getting a project P2k SWE1 and may have bitten off more than I can chew. I noticed the machine is missing the light saber and also has no glass. Can anyone assist

I have a couple of new playfield glasses and I think a scratched second hand one. Wayne and/or Gavin may have the neon part but I'm unsure what you are missing. Is it the complete unit.

the light sabre parts are available from Mr pinball (wayne). I'm in the process of doing the same. Trying out pinbox because newcore isn't available any more.

I might re check. I thought he told me they weren't as I sent an email but I may have been just about the glass. I need to do some more research but found the neon and handle. Not sure what's required underneath as yet. Keep in touch and let me know how you go. I don't pick up my machine for a month or so.

I have a complete brand new fully populated Star Wars Episode 1 playfield n dealers pin2000 conversion kit that came out in 2000 when USA was selling the full conversion kits to change over RFM's to star Wars Ep 1 pin2000.

The conversion kit comes with slide in SWars Ep 1 populated playfield, cabinet decals, all roms n the manuals n full set cabinet decals.

When I had my RFM, I slid the RFM playfield out, slid the BNIB SWars playfield in, hooked it up, changed the roms, and it worked straight away ofcourse. It is brand new and mint. Played a few games then took it straight back out and boxed n stored it again.

I was thinking I might sell this sooner or later.
5 years ago it cost me $1800 and I was going to Nucore a RFM so I could have 2 games in one, but Nucore stopped selling.

If I discounted the price on this, it would be a good thing for someone who had a Nucore or similar set up.

forgot to mention, the full change over kit also comes with the pull-handle ball shooter to shoot the ball because Star Wars Epiode 1 had a pull handle-shooter, where RFM had a button.
Its easy to change, it takes 1 min tochange over.

This BNIB Star Wars Ep 1 playfield etc kit is a definite buy for someone who already has a RFM and a Nucore, or for someone who needs a replacement SWEP1 populated new playfield. Just thought I would add the bit about the shooter.lol

hank you everyone with your help and messages. I love the fact that there are so many people still willing to share their knowledge and advice especially on P2k where I know almost nothing.

The transformer maybe, the neon or the protective tube that goes around it, the hex post that raises the assembly from the pf, the plastic clip that attaches the sabre to the hex post. I think that covers it. Check the manual. Also there is a silver ship toy that is placed near the bottom of the sabre.

I know someone who was wrecking a Star Wars Ep 1 Pin 2000, I will see what he has available.

Don't forget, check out I.P.D.B for lots o photos which might help to see what u are missing. I know of someone who is selling another playfield (populated) so I will also see how much they want for it and whats involved in it.
