Police force Pinball: Restoration
« on: February 08, 2015, 08:55:06 PM »
Hey guys, I am starting this thread and will post any questions I have (I am sure there will be tons) for this Police force Project.
IS anyone here an expert on System 11 machines. After spending a day trying to match up where everything plugs in, I have come to realise that some of the plugs on the harness may been removed, or wires have come loose.
Is there a replacement harness I can get for this machine. It seems like everything coming out from the play field seems to be ok, but then there are lots of other "secondary harnesses" like the insert harness and others?
Lastly I would have thought there would have been easier way to work out which plug goes where as there are loads of plugs, and many that can go in multiple places.

First job is buy a manual and all will be revealed as to where goes where.
Label everything and take HEAPS of photos.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

I downloaded the manual, but it might as well be in a different language lol.
I cant seem to find a part number for the harnesses though

you will find where the connectors go though.
Your wiring loom might not be that trashed.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

I have a Police Force machine coming in for repair on Wednesday.
Should be able to help out with some pics of the connectors once it arrives.

Most of my machines are system 11's and I've had the wiring out of them a few times. May be able to help. :)

You cannot but replacement harnesses - but more than likely there will be issues with the game which may not be attributed to the harness / connectors.

If you can't work out the connector etc from the pictures or schematics, call me and drop by with the game and I'll get you started.

Thanks for the replies as always.
Steevsee any pictures you can take will help.
Nino I am fairly certain they have chopped a couple connectors off.
But either way I am a long way off. The cabinet was smashed. It was cheap, now I know why lol.

I am pretty sure I saw cab art for these at PPS.  If the playfield is in good nick it's worth it as a fun gane

Yeah pps have them. Its a shame our dollar sucks. The playfield is surprisingly in quite good shape. The boards look very clean. Just hoping the displays work also
