Embryon resto
« on: September 13, 2015, 01:59:31 PM »
This is a collaboration of myself and third party guys and friends to hopefully bring this game to a condition to be proud of. Will post some pictures of the before and after shots of the playfield when they come to hand.

I've had a bit of a play with producing a decal for the apron as it is impossible to get one commercially. After talking to printers etc I think I know the hesitancy to produce this item.

Here is some photos of the apron of which entailed scanning, photo shopping, printing and cutting out. Once I have convinced myself this is the way I'm going to go, I will apply using the wet method and that's it seeing I decided on gloss laminating this one. It looked better than the matt laminate but I'm still thinking about this.

Cool, I'm looking forward to this one. Embryon's a stunning looking game, I'm sure you'll bring it up a treat Rob.

Interesting Rob. I'd say there will be at least 2 more that will need replacement !

Apron finished and I'd give it a 95% approval rating. It's tons better than what I started with. Next will the cabinet when the weather picks up.

Can't buy this, but I'm thinking of a mark 2. I found a great paint that I think a clear decal might work, I don't know. Will keep you posted. I got sick of waiting for someone to produce a decal in that I thought I'd give it a go myself with the help of some people.

I think you're selling it short with the 95% approval rating. It really looks fantastic, just like new! 100%

Thanks guys. Don't get me wrong I'm very happy with the result, just like everything, you always think of stuff that may have improved the task. I'm sure the cabinet work will be the same.

problem with clear is whether the colour will pop or just fade into the silver. You'll notice most clear ones go on white backgrounds. So I'll need to experiment first.

Started putting the pf back together but the pf fuse holder is really suspect. Where can I get one of these or is there an alternative?

I'm pretty sure I've always brought them from jcar. If you have no luck finding one let me know and I may have a spare.

Rob I believe RTBB sold them in blocks of 5 (plastic housing) in black or grey.

I have heaps so if your in the area swing past and help yourself.
