Pinball as medicine

I have 3 Grandsons with different levels of Autism. I have found that introducing them to pinball has improved motor skills, eye hand development, concentration levels, learning skills and communication to name a few.

We have also seen arcade cabinets with pacman and the like help. Pinball is a great sensory device.

Thank you for that link. I have 10 Grandchildren and 3 that are blessed is how I look at it. The middle one of the 3 is having his 7th birthday party with us and the Theme is to be a Drive-in and Arcade.
My daughter has had small Numberplates with those attending names on them and making cardboard box cars. Will using some xmas lights on chase mode to place around a 50" Plasma Tv and twinkle lights on the roof. Popcorn, choctops and all those really bad (good) things will be available from the shop. As well as 6 Pinball's (have a few to fix) and a Mame Arcade Machine.

The only issue we have is they keep going and going like the duracell/energizer bunny - rofl

They loved it. We screened Angry Birds. Notice the car makes on the sides of the cars. The moment the film ended they went nuts on the pinnies. None except the grandson had ever played one before. After learning the basics, (where the start button was) It was full on. After watching these 7yr olds attack those machines there is hope for pinball in the future.
