It also happened to me twice in the last week. It is not isolated to the type of browser as I use Firefox. I'll chase it up with Creech.

sorry for the inconvenience.

Try now guys. I made a change to the link so that it now fetches all unread posts looking through all posts on the forum, not just since the last time you logged on.

What's exactly happening for you mate? Are you seeing more posts than you should or less than you should or none at all?

Also, when you go to AP, do you logon each time or have you set it to auto-logon?

Its set on auto login, I usually get no posts at all it the "show unread posts since your last visit" but the "show new replys to your posts" section always works.

Let me know if it fails again. There is another option but it's not the nicest. It means you will have to logon each time you visit the site. I hope we don't have to go down that path.

The 'Show unread posts since last visit' link is not working properly for me, I have missed a lot of new posts in various sections on the forum even though the Unread posts link is showing no new messages. I am using IE6 at work and IE7 at home and it is failing on both. I have to go through each section to locate the new posts  @.@

I have also noticed that some of the Unread posts are disappearing from the list after I have viewed a single post. For example, if I click the Unread posts link to see the message list, I might see 10 new messages. If I select one of the messages, then click the Unread posts link again, the list will now show 8 new messages instead of 9. Is this a bug in IE or with the link itself?  #$#

Matthew

This issue is fast becoming the bain of my life  !*!

I will see if a bug has been reported on the SMF forums and if there is a fix for it. I assumed it was OK since the last time I looked at it but obviously not.
