Multiball won't stop
« on: September 30, 2017, 09:46:42 PM »
Hi. New user. Just bought a 1991 data east Star Trek (25 anniversary). When multi ball feature starts it won't top. When balls drain they just keep auto launching back into play. Only ways to stop are by tilting or turn off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Peter.

I would check that the right number of balls are in the machine.

Also go to switch testing and make sure all the ball trough switches are working.

Thanks for that. Yes it has the correct number of balls - 3. I did have a trough switch problem initially - they needed tweaking to sense the balls. I did sort that out though. Switch tests are all ok. Regards Peter.

Do another switch test with the apron off. Test will all balls out. Then test one ball at time . Maybe a bad outhole or trough switch.

Others may have a better idea on this era machine is not my speciality.

Also playtest with apron off.

Also maybe worth resetting all game setting in case some corrupt value settings.

Bob riverinapb. Thank u so much. it was a trough switch. Loose connection which I suspect happened during the relocation. I'll need to reset the high scores now given endless multiball made it a little easy. I am a long time pball tragic but v new user. Bought 3 machines last week to get me started. Thanks again.
