Backbox Trim Supplier?
« on: June 18, 2021, 05:13:43 AM »
Hi guys, just wanting to change the colour of the trim on my backbox.

Not sure of the name, is it T molding?

Can anyone point me to an aussie supplier that carries a good range of colours?

The purple will have to come from t molding dot com in the states, but thinking of going to black anyway.

There's plenty in Aus though, including ebay.

No worries Mitch. Ended up ordering the purple from the states. Dunno if i'll use it, but i'll have it here if i want it.

Kevin from Kempsey is doing the powdercoating. He's a pinballl guy and run's a powder coating shop, so pays attention to detail and wraps threads etc. Talking to him, he's going to do some business cards if anyone want's quality powdercoating tween Newcastle and the Qld border he's your guy.

Kevin called me a while back, asking about the possibility of getting his Fish Tales decalled. Will definitely be seeing him about some powdercoating on my Jurassic Park and other stuff.

He just did a Mario Brothers for Aaron up at Grafton in white. Came up a treat.

Colour below is the trim for my Deadpool pro. Hinges and door trim will stay black.
You'll get to see it at Pinfest.

Yeah, really looking forward to seeing the purple on Deadpool. It was an expensive colour, but it's still cheap compared to a lot of mods.

Got a better pic today from Kevin. he is redoing the lockbar as it has a minor imperfection, but the colour has deepened overnight by the looks to where i thought it should be. Should look great with the cab colours.

Yeah mate, it feels beautiful in the hands too. It's got railways side rails and they used to cut my thumbs a little with the sharp edge, not now. Kevin has done a brilliant job, even bought rivets for me and painted them so they would match on the lockdown bar button surround.

The colour is a special order and a little more exe than standard, but he has textured black for the stern look and that goes a bit cheaper as well as all the standard colours.

Pinball guy too, so takes that extra care.

You'll see the machine at pinfest if you attend. It's my 'harley chopper' (well i have one of those too), but the only machine i have that's pimped out with lights and mods and stuff.
