Any help I can give you regarding the Cleopatra pinball, let me know.  System 1, I have lots of experiance "electroniclly" so if you have any electrical questions let me know if I can help.

Are you going to buy a new processor i.e pascal or Ni Wumph?  Or are you going to look for an old board?

Good pick up by the way,  I saw it at Mark's and it should clean up a treat.  Im doing a Countdown from Mark that was in similar condition and it is coming up great.

Cleo is also a tough game to play, those centre drop targets just suck you in.

Awesome looking pin also, some of Gordon Morison's best work.

As a side note, I used to own the EM version of this game - screams rare and picked it up for $150

  thanks guys,i plan to buy all new ni wumph boards and new displays.question?will i need a new power supply or can i just change the tappings?

Does it have the power supply in the backbox?  If this is missing you will need one if you plan on using a NiWumph board.  If you use pascal board you can buy an all in one board that has the power supply, CPU and driver board all in one.

If you need an old but working power supply board and driver boards PM me as I can probably get these for you at a resonable price.  Or you can buy new replacment power supply and driver boards (Try "RTBB" Greg may have them or may be able to source them for you)

When you say changing tappings are you reffering to the transformer in the bottom of the cabinet?  If so and if this machine is from France you shouldn't need to as they operate on 240V also.  May need to replace the plug on the power cable to one of Australian Standards type if this hasnt been done.  Always a good idea to check the earth wires are connected and operational also and use an RCD for safety purposes (safety switch if your house has one or use a portable RCD, if it doesnt).

As explained by Dean - No need to modify the transformer board - just check the fuses and replace the line cord !

I have two of pascals boards (have had them quite a while) and all I can say is fantastic.

Simple equation:

PI-1 X4 + re-pinned connectors + proper fuses = unbelievably reliable system 1 game

Damien - PI-1 X4 has an additional sound amplifier and channel which enhances some of the later games like Genie - which use electronic sounds. Cleopatra has chimes, so you do not need the additional sound daughterboard - unless you want to hook up a speaker. That's nice, but not original - you would have to disconnect the chimes.

My advice is to use the chimes that came with the machine

The chime unit is controlled by Pascal's board, it's as "plug and play" and you could possibly expect.
