TZ auto ball shooter

Isn't a major problem but more of a nuisance, especially after LITZ mode.

The auto ball shooter/plunger/kicker (whatever you want to call it) doesn't fire out the ball hard enough to make the gumball reload. This misfire or weak plunge can occur 30% of the time (especially when firing the powerball). After the LITZ it can misfire enough times whereby the machine will go into a 'ball search' because the gumball isn't fully loaded.

I can have situations where there are then 2 balls in play and the flippers deactivate when I lose one of them or the flippers are deactivated before I plunge the ball etc etc.

Any ideas on how to adjust this mech or what the problem could be?

I'd first check if the ball isn't hitting or bumping something, thus slowing it down.

It's more likely that the plunger or it's bracket is mis-aligned.  I'd take apart the plunger assembly and check everything is clean and that moving parts have full and easy travel.  The coil sleeve could be worn and dirty and obstructing the punger, or the plunger link assembly may be broken.

I suggest you tinker around.  Some patience and persistence will probably solve it.

Rob, my TZ occasionally does the same thing, I know for sure that it hits the rubber on the post beside the skill shot, I'm not too concerned about it but I could use a smaller rubber ring to fix the problem.
Maybe you could try the same or as James stated try losening the plunger bracket and re-aligning

Thanks Matt, I think you could be right as I thought this when James mentioned the ball hitting something.
