Pinball Fuses Pack BARGAIN! (cost price) with bonus
« on: October 30, 2009, 11:53:15 AM »
After buying some fuses a while ago and being shocked at the outrageous price I was charged for them I decided to do something about it. I went to a fuse factory and had a range of slow blow fuses made for me. Yes, there was a large minimum order quantity but I refused to believe that a humble 3AG fuse could sell for the following prices:

Dick Smith - $4.98 per pack slow blow (6 pcs) - $0.83each
Jaycar - $1.25 each (slow blow)

To top it off they didn't have the values I needed for the pin I was repairing.

Anyway after ordering from the fuse factory I thought it would be useful to offer the group here a selection at a sensible price (actually my cost price and I had to buy many thousands).

I have assembled a package of fuses that every pinball owner should have on hand.

10 each of the following (all slow blow types)

0.25A (250ma)
0.5A (500ma)
1A
3A
5A
7A
8A
10A

That's a total of 80 slow blow fuses at Jaycar prices (if they had the correct values) would cost a whopping $100 and that's without pack & post!

I will even throw in 10pcs of IN4007 diodes perfect for coil diodes, lamp matrix diodes or power supply repairs.

Total price including padded bag and postage anywhere in Australia or New Zealand is just AU$26.00 (Kiwis can pay NZ $32 into my ASB bank account).

I have limited packs available because basically I am too lazy to pack more.

Please email me if you would like a pack, please don't PM as I am pretty busy.

Cheers to all,

Mike

Non slo blo's if I am correct?  How common are the 15A?  There was one from memory in the Jacks Open.

Ripper deal...always the way isn't it!!!!  just after I have bought a crap load of fuses and paid top dollar.

So EMs use mainly 5 & 10 amp standard (fast acting) fuses??? Please confirm and I will organise some.

I have underestimated the response - it seems like everybody wants some.

I have pretty well run out at the moment as I kept the majority of them in my overseas office - I didn't think there would be that much interest in them to be honest.

I will get them across so I should have plenty more in a couple of weeks.

That's correct but they are the longer ones than the ones you have in the photo

Yep, that is correct but....they are the 'longer/standard' size fuses
