Hidden Hallway ball lock
« on: December 16, 2009, 10:46:34 AM »
Whilst testing various switches etc for my Funhouse, I've noticed a bit of a niggly issue.  Where the ball lock is in the hidden hallway (1/2 moon type), if I push the ball around with a bit of speed, the ball won't lock and it just moves (ie turns with the correct movement of the mech).  If the ball goes in slow, no probs and it works correctly.

It seems to be adjusted in the correct position - ie the ball is not bouncing past or anything else.

Do I need to put a stronger spring on the plunger to stop this happening?

OK, after much research and actually reading the manual - it appears that for the hidden hallway ball lock - it doesn't use the standard 10-376 spring.  Its a 10-422 compression spring which I'm tipping is stronger.

Should hopefully resolve the issue.

Hey Marty, let me know if you need me to take anything apart to check or photograph.

Thanks mate.  I should get the new spring next week so I'll let you know.  I'm confident it will fix it!

Just an update for any other Funhouse owners with a similar problem.  You definately need spring 10-422 (compressed).  Fixed problem 100%  @@*
