Hello
« on: February 22, 2010, 10:41:17 PM »
*%*Hi everyone i am finally getting around to introducing myself.
My handle is Wally not sure why it seemed good at the time my name is Darryl.
I am 44 an electrician with some electronic experience  but by no means a guru and i live in Ocean Grove Victoria Australia.
I have a wife and 2 kids one 4 yo boy and one 7 yo girl.
Love swimming and playing at the beach with the kids.
I do a couple of the open water swimming races every year just to remind myself I'm not getting any younger.
I have never owned a pinball before so when i got the chance to get one for nothing i jumped at it.
I now own a Gottlieb Time Line (See Photo's) that has its fair share of problems and wear and tear. (does that mean it's a good game)?
I'm certainly not complaining i've spent around $80 so far and it basically works.
Anyway i've had fun just playing it the way it is.
This forum has been great and i can't thank you guys enough for your help (this means i'll probably need a lot more).
cheers for now and thanks again.

A big welcome to Aussie pinball. Like the old saying goes you can never have one pinball so hope you are getting ready for your next.
Pretty nice machine Time Line and not to many of them around. Hope you are having fun playing it.

Welcome Darryl, I was born in Ocean Grove and still spend a lot of Summer down that way. Plenty more help around here for you mate if needed.

Hey Wally..

Great game you have there....

Going by your pic it looks like your cab is predominately black....

I also have this game and my cabinet is predominately blue, just like the flyer...

As far as i know the first initial run had black cabs..... IIRC it was 200 units and then the remainder of the production got the blue cabs...

Gottlieb had a habit of doing this.... There are a few games with cab colour changes during production...

For what it was worth i thought i would inform you... ^^^

Hi Wally, Thanks for telling me about the forum, I've decided to sign up since I have recently got back into pinball again. I seem to have too many hobbies and pinball has become flavour of the month for me again since picking up a few more machines recently - they will keep me occupied for a while this time. Take care, Denis (ddjac).
