Harley Davidson UP/Down motor problem
« on: February 27, 2010, 01:27:52 AM »
Guys,

I have just replaced the up/down motor in my harley machine but it seems the ol motor was ok? What happens is when the motor is activated it seems to vibrate and struggle and I get the operater error #19 motor coil malfunction. For those not familar with the game a harley goes up/down on the playfield an catches balls for multiball etc. Any assistance woul be much appreciated. Kind regards, Jeff ^&^

we had a simular problem with a customers machine on thursday , does yours also lock the ball in and not return it till the next ball starts ?
check the membrane   , we have these on order as of yesterday with our next load of Stern parts , if there is a small break  this should be the problem ..

yea guys  I am doing some repairs now .. even with 3 full time techs  ( plus Damien) I am doing service calls and small fixes

Mark,

Thanks for the reply, I don't think it's the membrane but it has got me perplexed as to what it could be. It works sometimes and then during a game the operator alert comes up and it stops and with usually the vibration it will start again. It is really annoying and is driving me crazy though!!

Mark, I am not sure what you mean by reset but whatever it is, it is really annoying! When will you be getting the membranes in from Stern as I will have to replace it to see if that is what the problem is. Regards Jeff
