Hi all
« on: April 25, 2010, 05:01:28 PM »
Hi all
It started at Orbit lesiure centre in Parramatta with the school mates  . Machines like Flash, Genie, Dracula, Harlem globe trotters, stellar wars.. and the list is as long as your arm!

Does anyone else out there remember that place? Also does anyone remember the games room at the Blue Mountains, Katoomba?

After school years id almost forgotten about pinnies, until a car yard had three. So i basically bought Street fighter2 as my first pinball, and have been hooked ever since. They say that people who get one machine, end up with two... and so on! Bought Stellar Wars from Sydney, and then up came Secret Service, for $500, not working.

Thanks to Mr Pinbologist (Mitch on this forum) for fixing them all. I've been to his shed and played all of his machines, and didnt want to leave :lol

Here are a few pics of my new games room and my machines.

Cheers... Ian

Welcome aboard! They do say you can't stop at one pinball machine...

With a moniker like howzat, you aren't on the prowl for a Dennis Lillee themed pinball machine by any chance?

 $.$ Ian and  %)% to AP !

I like your lineup - SFII is underrated, Stellar Wars just dominates the picture being such a big pin, and Secret Service is a rare and interesting title.

You have a very talented repairman in Mitch  ^^^

Secret Service is a rare and interesting title.

Wouldn't mind hearing about the SS, Nug and I have one that we've been slowly sourcing parts for and might finish one day - in the meantime you can tell us what to expect!!

Hi all       Sec service has  very smooth flipper shots   and it has a lot of features,  when the ball is fired it goes across the p f up the ramp and down into the oval house  then another ball gets released.   It has 3 flippers which you get a shot @ drop targets  There is 1 kickout hole  3 bumpers  and it has a up post  which is still not working as we are machining a new steel shaft . It also has a laser kick on the side, but you have to earn it   There is 2and 3 multiball
All of these features make for a fun game    I carnt wait to get the up post  sorted   and yes Howzat was an old favourite                                                             thanks for replies    Ian

Welcome Howzat to the forum.
I remember the Orbit Leasure Centre in Parramatta on the main drag going back to the 80's, it was upstairs.
I think it is now a tatoo parlour.
A friend of mine used to be the attendant and repair guy in there and we had the best times.
I miss the Lunar Lander and Battlezone vids and they had a great line up of pinball at the time too.

Those were the days...

Regards,
Cliff
