Goldball switch settings
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:42:37 AM »
Hi guys & gals,
This is my first post.
I have a 'Goldball' circa 1982, CPU board recently replaced with a generic.
At the moment the 'Goldball' feature only appears randomly, ie: Switch settings suggest it should appear after spelling 'GOLDBALL' with target hits and rollovers etc, but it still only occurs randomly.
The random feature was the originally released gameplay. Revised (EP)roms contained the software upgrade for the feature to be won by skill, rather than randomly, or randomly if desired.
I have download manual(s). I am pretty sure I have set the switches set correctly.
Any ideas anyone???

PS the old board, with EPROMS is up for grabs, from Woonona NSW (2517). I don't want to post it. If somebody wants a 'faulty' board, give me a call on 0417 235 765. Price, hmmm, six pack of hahn premium, maybe (LOL)

 $.$ and  %)%

Sounds like an Altek Board with the ROM software from the original factory machine. You could email Altek and confirm the version with them ?

No worries - let us know how you go and they might be interested in your version of the ROMs.
