Data East Power Suppy board F5 fuse blows.

Guys, I have a problem with a Data East Power Supply board in a LW3 pin.

The F5 fuse (soleniods) blows immediately on the Power Supply board when I switch the machine on.

Ive swap the Power Supply board with another and it works so the problem is on the board and not a coil on the playfield.

Ive been told to replace C8 and Z1 but Im unsure what the specs are for these parts are - can someone please tell me what they are as I cant find them in the manual.

Hi John,

The schematic shows 100uf 100v cap for C8 and 15G470KM varistor for Z1. More than likely the varistor has gone short. If you contact Ed at http://www.greatplainselectronics.com he should have both of these.

I checked over the schematic after Derek posted and I agreed with him (Varistor) not much else to go wrong. I would be changing the cap also
