Hi All,

I am very much a pinball newbie. I live out in Western Sydney.

I have been collecting video games for quite a while now but my real passion is for the pinball machines. My best memories of pinball machines as a youth is visiting the Arcade stores / camping Games Rooms while on holidays on the NSW central coast.

My new years resolution is to finish off restoration work on 2 pinnies I have Blue Chip & Hot Tip. Oh and to buy another one... hopefully.

I'm sort of looking out for 1984 Touchdown Pinball http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2610&picno=3803.

Now that Blue Chip is the famous one in The Pinball Compendium 1970 - 81 on page 92  *%*

Good to have you onboard, there is plenty of help available with restorations and repairs around here.

I'm guessing these are both EMs? Or do you have the SS version of Hot Tip?

Glad to have you on board... Good luck with the search for the Touchdown.. The only Touchdown I've ever seen is the Williams EM - Which I used to love playing as a kid..

Its the SS Version of Hot Tip.

Yeah I remember playing that one as well. The reason that I am particularly looking for the 1984 Touchdown is that a while back I bought one of the original signed design mylars (non-adhesive) of the playfield done by John Trudeau. Sometime this year I will get it framed with some pictures etc for the Games Room. Nothing would compliment this more than the actual pinnie to go with it :)

The Blue Chip in Mike's second book was originally mine....check out the centre plastic which gives it away.

I traded the game with Michael, who then traded it to Scott Grey, who sold it to the person you bought it off!

Ouch, I have since replaced the centre plastic.

I love this history... Do pinballs have unique serials that can be tracked?

They do have serial numbers - yours should be under the front door. Gottlieb also stamped on the top of the head.

The only reason I know the history of your pin is word of mouth
