Hi all,
Just wondering if there should be some "slack" above the backglass when it is fitted into the machine.
Again, its the Gorgar Williams 79.
What is happening is when the glass is locked in, the two bars that go over it git extremely snugly, so much so that the glass is pinned to the bottom of the lightbox.
Question is, is there a danger of the glass breaking with flex in the lightbox when it is being played?
Should there be a little bit of play, ie: be able to lift it a couple of mill even though it is locked in?
All my other machines are like this.
If this is the case what the hell is making it so tight?
There is nothing in the track at the bottom and the lock mechanism seems OK.
Any ideas guys?
Thanks.
