I would not buy from BCW if he was the last guy around

I would be expecting him to auction garbage he cannot sell on e-bay

Not my first choice dealer.

There rarely are bargains at these auctions, but the only advice is the standard advice - check the game carefully, get an idea on value of any you might bid on, and remember to add in the various fees (usually eg 15% for GST and "buyers fee" or whatever) as this often clouds the bidding.

If you are a local repairer, expect a lot of repair calls after the auction.

Bring your own power plug to test machines that are not powered on.

No, I don't like auctions, they tend to trap the unwary.

Awesome, another meet coming up. See you guys there.
Not many pinnies though (that’s going by the link), although there’s some old ones.
Bargains….everyone’s probably got a WW in their collection, so expect it to sell quite cheap.
SS will command a higher price this time around – don’t think it’s going to sell for $4k at the last Auction held back in Dec08.

Hoping there’s a TOM on offer…

Went to the last one and saw a few guys from the forums; machines were mostly a bit over the money for what was on offer in my opinion. (Must have pinball for Christmas buyers...)

I might drop in (a bit late as I am busy up until around 12:15) to grab a free sausage (oh, wait, they will not be free!!) and see who else turns up.

If it is anything like the prices he puts on his ebay stuff, don't waste your time.
I tried to contact this block twice - no response. Either he is arrogant or has no idea about customer service.
See my thread about this setup.

We'll i'm going to go on Sunday and play a few pinnies. With regards to the Auction, i don't think me feet will stand the test of time, in lieu of the good pinnies being Auctioned off at the end.

I'd try out some pinnies that i might have interest in for their gameplay/features, then go buy them ELSEWHERE....

haha. I think that's the norm for us guys.
I personally think it's going to be NEW buyers on the day, so expect NEW members to come aboard on this forum, say January 2011 - first post will be a Technical issue....
Speaking from experience, because that's what happened to me.

Well Rob gave me a courtesy call the other night re: upcoming Auction and this was out of the blue - i though it was a nice gesture from the bloke.
If his got the product and falls within price, then i can't see the problem.
I'm still going this Sunday.

One of the admin assistants rang me today to let me know it was on.

Must have given my mobile phone number to them last time!
