Trident backglass arrived
« on: November 19, 2010, 08:56:10 PM »
IT HAS ARRIVED!
The backglass for my Stern Trident arrived today.
I ended up using Trans Direct (transdirect.com.au) for the transport from Melbourne to Adelaide.
It only ended costing $28 door to door with 2 day delivery, which I thought was pretty cheap, I could have got it for $14 from E-GO but they didn't have a phone number to call, only email.
It was actually delivered by an Allied express driver who they are affiliated with.
Thanks to Gunnar from Coin Play amusements for the glass and packing it in a killer box.
It is 2 pieces of 16mm mdf with a 20mm sold pine spacer for the glass to sit between.
The glass was wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap.
Now the machine is complete!

Always scary shipping glass, glad it made it. Nicely packed. How about a photo in the game??

As fragile as they are to ship - if done properly, it is usually very safe. I've shipped in around 10 glasses and never had an issue.

I will post a picture in the game soon, for now I need to do some work on the headbox and the shipping box is a good way to store the glass safely.
I am considering doing the same to all my project machines.
