MY MONARO IS ONE STEP CLOSER TO BEING FINISHED
« on: November 26, 2010, 12:05:02 PM »
Well Ive taken a weeks holiday to work on my monaro in a fortnight.

So yesterday I went and bought all the paint thinners and everything I need to finish the job.  So hopefully before Christmas my monaro will be sporting a fresh coat of Chrome Yellow paint.

No worries Mick will be sure tonpost progress pics

Sadly it's only an LS but it now has all the Gts gear gaurds grill dash etc.    My son wants me to put the stripes on but I'm unsure.   A guy on eBay sells stick on ones which I think will be the way I go that way if I get sick of them I just peel them off.

Great to see some progress Daniel, please upload some pics for us petrol heads

Hey didn't the Bathurst Monaro have black stripes as well as the GTS.  !@# My old man had a Bathurst monaro back in the early 80's, he wishes he never sold it  ^.^, these classic holdens have performed well as investments over the years.
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

are you also going to put a single light front on or are you going to leave it as a twin light, with GTS guards the single light front looks heaps better IMHO.

I have a 4 door GTS painted in yellow chrome with the black stripes, I think it looks alot tougher with the black strips

Yeah already converted it to single headlights your dead right Gts guards have to have singe headlights IMO

And sorry I have not had a chance to find the photos yet maybe tonight

Well mate you know I'm not a Holden man - but I reckon they look good with the stripes.

If you leave the vinyl ones on too long - the paint will fade uneven, so it will show up on removal?  !@#

You've changed the guards etc - might as well go the whole hog and do the stripes?
Why is it called PMS?

Classic found a couple of photos of the first engine rebuild.  Engines not the funny part look at the little boy moving the engine crane.

Third photo is how it sat for about 8 years when it wasnt being used as a work bench

and the last photo is with the 9inch diff fitted  Bloody heavy bastard on your own
