Gottlieb 2001 EM
« on: August 26, 2011, 12:00:09 PM »
Hi Guys,

Opportunity has arisen to grab a Gottlieb 2001 machine as part of a bulk deal.

Haven't done a full inspection, machine hasn't been powered on for years. Playfield looks amazing with no wear, backglass has a few minor "wear" marks but no flaking and bright colours (including the reds). Cabinet original with some scratches and the head has some pretty major paint flaking. Coin door is pretty rusty.

With no experience in EM's this would be a learning experience.

Any opinions on this game? Anything to look out for? Rough price for the condition I've mentioned? And then cleaned up working?

Thanks in advance,

Caleb.

Pictures ?

Sight unseen it would be hard to tell, but it sounds like a working project, so anywhere between $500 - $650 for this title. It is a "drop target heaven" machine with awesome artwork. I'd say a working game (unrestored) would be around $750 and restored $1300 + (depending on the level of restoration).

Plastics are not available (NOS or Repro), and a replacement door, coin plate, scratch plate and hardware will set you back around AUS$200 (inc shipping as it is bulky). Chimes might be missing as well. So that's why a restored price will fluctuate. Sounds like the head is a bit dodgy, so a repaint may be required. Then you are looking at a resale price over $2000.

I'd offer $400 and work my way up, depending on the budget and more importantly, the condition.

No pictures as yet.. will post some as soon as I can.

Thanks for the info, pricing is around what I expected. Not sure what the plastics are like, or whether the chimes are there. Will definitely check this out.

As I said it's part of a deal so just trying to establish the value it adds at this stage, originally went there looking at a couple of '72/'73 Seeburg Jukeboxes.

Thanks again for the quick response!
