Shatterd sling globe
« on: September 06, 2011, 01:19:52 PM »
I am still having problem with balls striking the top 47 globe on the left slingshot on The Getaway ^.^  It doesn't happen all the time but when it does its annoying  ^&^ I have tried changing the pitch of the game and the belts so its more tight around the sling. You no when the globe is struck you get a little puff of smoke and glass flies all over the place. Then I switch the game off to stop eney damage.    Eney thought's on how I can stop this once and for all   !@#

Usually to stop balls getting stuck under the rubber. AFM is big for this, I've had two rubbers on it since the day I got it. But might do the job of stopping this happening too, worth a try.

Find clear vinyl tubing you can slip over the bulb and socket down into the playfield. Cut it so it's a little taller than the bulb.

That should do it.

every data east machine I have removed the sling shot plastics on have a nail under the plastics. I am assuming they came out of the factory like this as every machine has the exact same type of nail.

The clear tube is a good Idea and the best way to go In my opinion.
