LUCKY STRIKE REBUILD
« on: February 04, 2009, 08:03:34 PM »
Hi All
Ive been nagged by a member to do a post so here goes (Be patient as i have the attention span of a ded carp)

As with a lot of my machines started out with a trip to Mark c to pick up a machine but as usual came home with more than 1 spotted Lucky Strike and had to have it.   Excitment turned to shock as an almost perfect looking pinball had become home to a possum or some other animal that liked the taste of wires...

After ordering a manual from the states i set about rewiring the damaged wires, checking cleaning and adjusting the relays and contacts etc.   Put it all back together and Sucess it fires into life.

So i started the clean up by stripping the playfield polishing everything then putting it back together.

 @.@

Wow, those machines look unreal!  The playfields look very very clean too!

Normally I find overseas coins in my machines from Mark..Never any deceased critters...yet!

After viewing a strangeways thread on a restore i decided to go that little bit further not as exceptional as strangeways but i polished every part i could. I spent heaps of extra time but i think its well worth the effort you decide????

Well ive spent as much time on the computer as i can handle so back out to the shed for me ill add some more next time i have some free time
        ENJOY

Also let me know if you want less detail more detail??? So i know how to improve it

If you leave the pics at their normal size, the forum software will automatically scale them to 800 x 600 when you upload them.

Looking good. The metal flippers are cool, have a spare one if you ever need one.
Is that a Jumping Jack in your first picture ? Have you started on it yet ?
Hopefully getting one next week.

Daniel - Congrats mate - that is an awesome job you have done there.

As I keep saying to anyone who listens - These pins should be in the hands of people like Daniel, and not sitting in some filthy barn/factory or warehouse rotting away. These machines DESERVE this level of attention after making the operator / owners rich !

Keep the updates coming !
