The blades and the magnet works on the helli , but the pivot arm that moves it around the playfield wont work . Has any one had this drama before

Check the crap quality plastic that attaches the motor to the toy under the playfield.  Kneedit putty will get you out of trouble if this is the fault.

Do you have a manual for it?

I would think that there would be a fuse for it, check the motor and driver board.

There is also a rubber ring that attaches to the under playfield motor, can't remember exactly what it does but it's something else to check.

yeh i do have a manual but its a bit useless, it dosent actually say there is a fuse for the motor . There is even one for the magnet on the helli so u would think there would be one for it.

You will need to read the schematic section of the manual to work it out.

Trying to remember when I had one, from memory there is a plastic cog under the playfield somewhere, it split on one side and although I couldn't see it it caused the copter to stop moving.

Look at page 75 of the manual (lever and pivot arm assembly) I think it was part 5B.

Also while it is probably pretty obvious have you checked the friction wheel (part 4A)?  This often wears out.
Cheers

Yeah that's the part I was referring to, for the kneedit putty repair.

Another thought, there are a couple of switches under the playfield where that piece of bakelite hangs down. Check the switches for a broken/ missing wire.
