« on: November 24, 2011, 06:03:52 PM »
Hi guys I'm repairing an Austin powers pinball and the laser beam ramp magnet does not have enough power to divert the ball it is working pulls in a socket but doesn't pull the ball in game play????

   Any ideas?

I've replaced the connectors under the playfield  for the magnet just to be sure.  What now

they were known to lock on, and stay on in that game and sometimes burn out, so it might be time to replace the magnet alltogether.

in the menu in magnet test, does it have enough grunt to make the ball move ?, if not, replace it.

i am sure mark has them, or check with rtbb or the usual others.
