Pinball machine dust cover
« on: December 27, 2011, 05:13:47 PM »
Does anyone on the forum have any good quality pinball covers for sale ? I should have a new pinball soon and i want to be able
to keep it covered/protected when not in use. I don't want to use sheets or motor bike covers.

Otherwise i'm looking at ones on Ebay US that are $40 that look like good quality, but the shipping is high. If anyone is interested in the ebay
ones we could share the freight cost.

ETA...Anyone know why this thread doesn't show up in the General discussion ? What did i do wrong ?  ^&^

I maybe interested (2-3 units) but depends on freight charges... Maybe see what they charge on 10 units to you and see what the unit cost would be.

I more want covers for the cabinet top to protect the ramps from UV rays (pinballs in a sunroom type room) as you don't want a cover too serious otherwise it's a hassle to play a quick game.

The topic comes up under General Discussion group so if you open this group for the reference of all the sub groups it is there but not under eg General Pinball Discussion. You may have been in the General Discussion group when you started the new topic.

Really expensive freight for these compared to other items i've bought from the US.

For example 1 cover $40 + $43 freight , total $83

Freight for 2 covers is $68
                4 covers is $110

I think i will still buy one or two, but the freight is very steep. These freight charges are approx. to Australia. based on his ebay listing.

I had a look around the net and there seems to be others but some starting at $150 and they don't look as fitted so the overall cost does not look too bad as half the time these guys seem to make their money off the freight.

I understand about the freight, they know how to charge but I may be tempted for 2 sets. See if you could get any more interest and get him to lower the price for freight per unit $43 for 1 to $27.50 per unit for 4 is getting better.

Any other takers?????

If the cover is for dust, rather than sunlight, there is a guy in Germany who makes them

'General discusion' is different to 'general pinball'

It would be good if the mods could change this so that we cannot post in the main forum (General Discusion) but can only post in the various sub-forums (General Pinball)

In my case, it would be more for protection from the sun.

Ok. I'm just trying to work out the postage and how to split it up.

Looking at the figures today, i don't think it's worth it unless you can pick up from me. I can save you about $20, but then you have the
cost from me to you .

You're welcome to look at the freight charges on his listing, but i don't think it's worth the little saving.

I'm going to make an order for two. If anyone in Brissy wants any, let me know ASAP.
