Thoughts on Leg protectors??

Hi,

Just wondering what people use I like what Greg has the pincab protectors anyone use these?

I've used the cloth ones but these look more up-market

Reason is when the AC/DC pin arrives I want to protect the artwork.

I generally use RTBB's Pincab protectors on games with some wear around the legs already.

For games of mine (or customer's) which I've redecalled etc I use the felt ones.

I use them on any machine that has a VERY GOOD set of decals. I'll also use them on any repainted game or re decalled game.

I have a yellow set on my iron man with the candy red legs and trim and they blend in surprisingly well with the graphics. Luke who I bought it from had this machine sited for over a year and moved it around alot of pubs and the cabinet decals have not suffered at all.

I say get some, small dollars for peace of mind (no decal damage)

Just a word of warning with the pincab protectors when using them on the latest Sterns ie Transformers with the new style of artwork used and that it doesnt cover the cab all the way to the edge under where the legs bolt on so there is not enough of the sticker to hold it in place when using the pincab protectors and I have seen the sideart crinkle up.I think on my AC/DC I will be using the felt/carpet ones

Cheers for that-I'm about to order blues ones for my WH20 as the artwork is already crinkled.

Hate to be pedantic but correct use of English, they should be called cabinet protectors as they are protecting the cabinet not the legs?

Some say Tomato some say Potato,look at it this way they are protecting the legs from damaging the cabinet

hers a trick Pete. Buy the plastic pincab protectors from Greg-RTBB, and then cut some felt type protectors a bit smaller than the hard plastic pincab protectors, and have the felt between the machine and the pincab plastic ones. (they come in all different colours for u to chose from)

That way, u get the best look of the coloured pincab style protector, but u have the soft protection of the felt against the machines artwork. Best of both worlds. !
