Punter, u can stick the soft felt ones (grey from MarkC or who-ever else has them) and put them between the plastic pincab ones no problems.
It is only very thin and with the overall package being squuezed tightly with the leg bolts done up, u dont even notice they are there.  I will be doing that straight away with my NIB AC/DC. Without the felt between , the pincab ones can leave an indented line when tightened up properly, hence adding the felt is a must IMO.  ^^^

Why not just use the felt ones Brett ? I just ordered puncabs from greg for my WH20 as the decals are abit crap near the legs

Peter

In answer to your question Pete, on all my machines I use the std grey ones i bought in bulk from Mark.  But on my new STERN pinnys, I will use the pincab plastic ones with felt inbetween, because it looks the goods. Eventually, I will add pincab coloured plastic ones to all my machines with the felt inbetween etc.  Talking about mods for a pinny, I am creating 2 x different toppers for the AC/DC pinny.  I will make an extra few I think and will share them with AC/DC owners.
Post some pics when the toppers are ready Brett,i would like to see what you have come up with.

Punter, I have one of the toppers I have been working on for ac/dc at the powder coaters, the second one is getting laser cut at the stainless steel place.

Once i finish (shld be within a week) I will post and ask members which one they think is the best. I think members will like then 4 sure. I am going to have them well n truly ready before my ac/dc pin arrives. maybe take orders from other members if they like them. like the leg protectors, anything to dress up the machine is a good idea.

I have never thought too much about leg protectors.
I wear shorts mostly but sometimes jeans or trousers.

I have decided to get the powder coater to do an extra few toppers for me.
I think a few AP members will like them for sure for their AC/DC pins. Complete with flashing Leds too. !
I might get them made the same colours as the AP Beenies.lol

Put some batting pads on the legs and a helmet where the topper would go. ^^^

A little update on pincabs etc:

Earlier on I stated just pincabs would be fine as my Iron Man had them and it did the rounds in various pubs, BUT today I went to a local pub and played a 1 month old Transformers LE (that was in Norbet's office at AMD for a while) and it has pincabs on it but it was bubbling around the front legs more on the left side (and in a position out of the sun). This is one of Luke's and this is it's second pub siting in 1 month, so based on that I would agree with some others and go for felts (to care for the decals) and then pincabs (for looks).

Hope that helps anyone getting a new machine soon.
