The Pinball Dungeon Christening Meet!
« on: February 12, 2012, 01:16:52 PM »
Hi guys, here are a few pics and vids i took of yesterday's Saturday afternoon pin session i had at my place, to christen the shed  :D
I had invited Ian (howzat) and his mate Graeme over, and they had asked a couple of other guys over but they weren't able to come. Even though it was only the three of us a lot of fun was had having a few cold drinks and playing the pins  #*#

Also i took some footage of the message display that i posted pics of in my gameroom pics thread.. Notice in the 2nd vid of the message display Ian's best score on Kiss that he got a month or so ago.. i'm STILL trying to beat that one  :lol
and no one yesterday got any major "Biggest Losers" scores  :lol thats where if someone gets a really crap score for a whole game, their name goes into the 'biggest losers' on the message display  :lol :lol

What a lovely pinball cave. And really good videos too.
These kind of get togethers are a big part of what it's all about I believe.
Thanks for sharing.

Great layout, I love the wall art   ^^^ The Solar ride and the Buck rogers cabinets look fantastic. Make me want to pull down my Countdown and repaint the cabinet. Thanks for sharing the videos and photos

All of those machines look like they rolled off the production line.

Beautiful collection you have there. I haven't seen some of these before so the Vids are a nice insight into how the games play/look.

Awesome room, awesome collection!

You know you can "improve" the sound of that Kiss with a dip switch setting?.  Seems to be set on chimes :)

yepp i know there is a setting for other sounds, its set up on chime mode same as the first Kiss i ever played.. bit of a nostalgia thing for me  *%* I was actually thinking the other day that i might set Kiss up for the 'other' sounds for a while.. which is how i remember THIS very same game as it sounded in the arcade in Laurieton over 20 yrs ago.

ALL of my games are set up for the same sounds as i remember them in the arcades in the early days.

Some of these games are ear-marked to be RE-restored, ie fixing some of the stuffups i made in my early days of pin restoring. things like not so good preparation for paintwork, or incorrect colours... basically fixing up things im no longer happy with  !@)

Solar Ride will be totally re-restored.. cab repainted in correct colours and pf will be redone.
6m$m will get a cab repaint, legs repainted in the correct colour
Stern Stingray and Gtb Solar City (not pictured here) cabs to be repainted.. these two were the first two i ever repainted.. and really were half arsed done jobs (rushed) imo and could be better !@)

All four will be redone eventually.. time and funds permitting  *%* *%*

Also Stellar Wars and Cosmic Princess (or cosmic "bitch" as its known as at home)  :lol in these pics/vids are yet to be restored properly, having been set up as they were when i bought them, with nothing more done so far other than getting them running.
