IMO it is an impossible question to answer because each person thinks differently of different pins.
My 1st thought when asked this question goes to The Flintstones and has done for a long time.

under rated is a hard one to work out what it really means.

under rated meaning a game that many didnt play because there werent many made, if so, some cracker games that I own and play, which are sweet games are >

starship troopers, black knight 2000, gilligans, popeye, teenage mutant ninja turtles, RFM ands SWars Ep 1. Frankenstein. All cracker of games.

or under rated, cause many think they are no good, and people still try to convince u that they are great (any game can be incl here).

i dont find any dmd game over rated, unless u pay too much. under rated is always a game u dont know much about yet. that keeps it fun.

Stern SS machines are under rated.

Paragon and Fathom are considered the two best Bally machines and the most commonly requested. But Stern's of the same era are just as good. Of all the games I've restored and sold, I really miss Meteor and Galaxy. I would buy another Meteor in a heartbeat - as a keeper. Another title that is under rated is Flight 2000.

Also - Bally EMs. Especially 4 players. All the EM talk has been about GTB Wedgeheads and drop target games. Four years ago, I started collecting 4 player Bally EMs, and never looked back. Bally Wizard, Old Chicago, Fireball, 4 Million BC - all great players.

mate... mate... mate... what are you doing?
I know Bally EM's are underrated... as are 60's WMS games... but this means you can pick em up relatively CHEAP cos everyone is chasing GTB games! You keep telling everyone and they'll be in demand and so the price increases... dear oh dear... put the cat back in the bag!

Got to say I'm not overly impressed with my Old Chicago as yet , but it still needs some tweaking of the bottom bumpers and I forget what else.

I need more room ! and more $$$

Hear the same thing too many times about GTB EMs - They NEED Drop Targets to be great players. Buccaneer is an awesome DIFFICULT game to beat, and it has no DTs. Good thing about Bally EMs - Not many around, unless you want a Circus, which is a pretty game, but not in the same class as most Ballys of the same era.

Agree re the movie, struggled to watch the whole thing before I picked up the pinball. Glad I do though to get my head around the various modes and characters used in the pinball.

CONGO is fun, audio cranked is great. Dot matrix for nasty goriilas and snakes coming from the 3 doors u chose from in video modes is way cool. Gorilla on backglass (the nasty one) is drawn very well.

The right volcano lock ball shot is not easy and makes it fun/challenging. In great condition, the CONGO is a looker with Leds etc. Playfield has a Indy Jones feel down near the flippers. Congo is a surprising gem (no pun intended- Diamonds !.lol)

Not a real known game, but people are drawn to it cause they have never played it. Surprisingly unique. Definately worth some games, as its not easy. Subway gorilla playfield also a nice touch. more so a unknown game versus under rated.  ^^^
