Roadshow original U22 chip wanted
« on: April 17, 2012, 07:58:50 PM »
I just finished shopping out Roadshow and put a new rom in U6 but it comes up something about wrong u22.
looking at the u22 chip on the board it says on the sticker NBA Fastbreak, so it is not the correct chip for roadshow.
But the rom in u6 at the moment is a burned rom and plays roadshow fine???.

Ken seems to think the current U6 has been modified to work with the NBA fastbreak U22. can this be done, it seem like it.

the reason i wanted to up date u6 is there is some sort of bug in the current rom which makes it impossible to get multiball under certain conditions. At the start of multiball mode. If the ball drains before shooting teds mouth, when the next ball is put into play the dozer blade drops and stays down so you cant shoot teds mouth, when this ball drains and the next ball is put into play the dozer blade raises and stays up, so you can get multiball.

when the blade is down and i am unable to start multiball there isnt a lot to shoot for as no other mode can be started.

Does any one have an old Roadshow U22 chip they dont want

Yes the old rom was the new version, if a new one was patched it could still have the same problem?

try doing the relevant tests for the dozer blade and mouth.

it may be an intermittent switch problem

if it isn't then you may have to buy a new security chip.
