Hi, my name is Ivo. I started playing pinball at the local barber shop in 1969. My passion for pinball grew between 1969 and 1982 as I was young and hooked on the silver ball. I learned all the tricks and gained my skills on the Gottlieb machines between 1969 and 1976 and then played all the Bally and Williams machines up to 1982. The only machine I bought at the time was Flash which I paid $500 for in 1980. The machine was in original condition and I did very little to it. Currently it is in storage and is probably one of few Flashes that is factory original.
In 1982 I stopped playing pinball and focused on work, career and family.
Now, after 30 years I am 'back in black' and the proud owner of my first NIB - BIBLE #056.
It is funny how life and situations change. When I was younger, I could not afford a NIB pinball machine to buy for personal use. But, there were 100's of operators with 2 - 30 machines all over Sydney where you could enjoy the games for 5c - 20c per game. Now the private collectors are buying NIB games for home use but the number of games and operators has dwindled to 'next to nothing'. Let's hope that Stern and JJP can keep the momentum going with good and interesting titles.
