Wow capcom pins are something else
« on: April 27, 2012, 05:46:57 PM »
played my first capcom pintoday Breakshot, the machine was mint, bloody fantastic, the clear on these capcom playfields are insane it was like glass. cant beleive how much attention to detail they put into their pins, it was so simple of a design but wow it was nicely made.
the power on the flippers was fantastic every thing about this game was fun. very oldschool design machine but the audio and dmd made it sound and look modern at the same time, cool concept and what a bloody fun game to play. absolutely a fantastic game shame it wasnt for sale i would have bought it.
it was like a puzzle more than a regular pinball

what did you recon of the playfield, im no pool fan, but it is one very nice looking flayfield, love the colours on it and the whitewood into the colour looks great, really nice layout. never thought such a simple game could be that much fun. are all capcom games that nicely made??? so much attention to detail on this one

Breakshot has a beautiful playfield. One of the best IMO

Capcom really made their games very well indeed, and the artwork was second to none. I have three Capcoms and they have a better feel to them than B/W games, better in many ways (slings an exception, they are a crappy design). I haven't played Breaskshot in years, but loved it when I did, that super strong flipper feel that only Capcom has, really fun layout, perfect merge of old school layout with new style rules.

Breakshot is an awesome machine. Laid out like an EM with an addictive ruleset. Artwork for all Capcoms is fantastic. This title is rare and I've only seen one or two for sale in Australia over the last few years. I sold mine, a 9.5/10 game for $3200 and I regret selling it now.

Anyone that owns a Capcom usually keeps the game. They don't change hands often. Breakshot is my favorite.

Dunno, I reckon the match on GnR is pretty cool as well.

I have a Pinball Magic and it is a great machine.  Super fast and strong.  I wouldn't mind a few more Capcom machines if at all possible.
Addicted to pins.

i think the camel that walks around at the end of the game that when gets to the middle of the dmd lifts its tails and gives you a brown eye is prety funny lol.
i do really dig this game, i actually wish i never saw it because now i want it lol

My sister just managed to pick up a pinball magic and her and her husband are stoked with it.

This only thing i'm finding difficult is where to get replacement parts.  I read that you can modify flipper mechanisms to B/W type ones - but can't find any info on how.

Does anyone know if a normal B/W plunger and link and coil stop and flipper bushing fit straight in - or where you can get Capcom ones from?

Forgot about Pinball Magic... went to a meet of around 40 games but this title really appealed to me and was my favourite of the night... Great capcom pin, excellent game play and much better art than Breakshot

Dont think I have ever played a Capcom machine.
Are they easy to work on and how difficult is it to source parts ?
