Removing Williams Backglass Lift Channel
« on: April 29, 2012, 03:42:25 PM »
Picked up a backglass for my Firepower, but it's not fitting my head box. Is there a special technique for removing the metal lift channel from an early 1980's Williams backglass? I have applied tight pressure to see if it slides off, but it's tight and I am afraid of shattering the glass.

It's slightly off centre, about 3 or 4 mm to one side sticking out, so needs to be repositioned to go into my game.

Any thoughts?

They are held in place with double sided tape... you need to carefully slide  a craft knife along the length on both sides to cut through the tape... normally its one piece in middle and one on either end
