Hey all
NEVER do I recall being SO ANGRY with a machine.
So the
‘latest’ issue with my TSPP relates to the lower left flipper.
The nylon linkage broke last Sunday ( that was in the 1st game played immediately after I fixed the upper PF left flipper too ! ) ……..so I purchased some new plungers/ linkages……now bear in mind that this lower left flipper has NEVER had a problem with the flipper shaft not properly gripping into the clamp to hold the flipper in place.
My issue now……. the flipper shaft is not properly gripping into the clamp to hold the flipper in place!
I have had the clamp section slightly loose around the shaft so that when the screw turns in it MIGHT pull it tight and ‘clamp it on’ – FAIL!......1st flip , the flipper swings upwards and stays there
I have adjusted the gap in the clamp section that the flipper shaft goes through is so tight ( without the screw even in place ) that you nearly need a hammer to ram the flipper shaft in through it, I thought ‘that’ll do it’ – FAIL !...... 1st flip , the flipper swings upwards and stays there.
I have removed the flipper and filed the shaft slightly to give it a bit more ‘bite’…..repeated the above 2 methods……– FAIL !...... 1st flip , the flipper swings upwards and stays there.
Apart from welding this thing into place I am completely out of ideas, given the fact that this only came about after I simply undid the assembly and installed one new part – IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, considering that EVERY TIME I fix one small thing on this game ( all mainly flipper related ) that ‘something else’ just ‘decides’ it is going to fail.
Has anyone got ANY clue as to what I could do here
