EVEREADY Batteries have just released a new range of batteries for the toy market (and everything that takes the batteries we use for our pinball machines as well) and they have a guarrantee to never leak because of a new protective coating and new technology seal design.

So checkout the EVEREADY range and when u want to replace the batteries in your pinball machines, look at this new style of battery which will certainly help with the dreaded acid damage we all worry about.

I am assuming there will be some new info on their website which may show the new packaging which has the anti-leak messages etc and the new info on it, so look for that one, instead of the older style of batteries which do leak. I have emailed the company to get some info/technical data so i can post it here when they return my product email request for the exact differences on this new line of batteries.. Hope it helps.

They may indeed leak and they may not.
Remote battery holder is the only way to stay safe.

remote battery holders are OK if u like modying perfectly good boards.

luckily i have Beaky around to do mine (if i have to do one) but not everyone is lucky enough to have a good mate as apinny tech.  when u have alot of machines it is also a pain to do all of the machines.  these new batteries will be a good idea. i will still change all my batteries on all my machines every xmas time to be safe.lol

the ad for the new eveready batteries has been on tv quite a bit as well.

Energizer seems to have also jumped on this idea

picked up a packet of 'Energizer MAX' with 'power seal technology'
I am guessing it is the same thing

Energizer is an Eveready brand so it would make sense
