Well my new CPU should arrive soon does anyone have any advice on things to check before i plug in the new board?   Ive tested the 5v and all the coils for resistance and switches are all open is there anything else ?

I have not got any suggestions for you.  What I don't know about System80's could fill a warehouse!...

You've done the ground mods (tick!)
Coils and diodes (tick)
Not sure if yours has them - playfield transistors (?)
Replaced orange cap in power section (?)
Driver board checked ?

Just check all voltages to the board - nothing out of spec.
