Adjusting Pop Bumpers?

Hi All

The Bop Bumpers on my TFTC all work fine its just that they don't engage as much as they should.

How do you adjust these?
Is it a matter of simply adjusting the leaf switches????

Try adjusting switch so there is only light pressure between spoon and the skirt actuator(dick)you can add dry lube to the spoon but a very small amount and sand paper the end of actuator smooth as they can have burrs and scratches on the end. Readjust the whole  switch by loosening screws holding it to playfield so it is central under the actuator when this is set retighten then readjust switch contacts to have about 1mm between them but not sure on the gap size but depends on how snappy you like bumpers to be

I hope that helped you they do take a bit of tweaking to get them right.

Also like to put a little polish on the spoon too - very slippery.
Make sure you check your coils and coil sleeves too as they may need replacing if dirty or if the coil has dicked itself.
You can tell if the coil is dicked by the sleeves not being able to be removed and stuck, usually indicating a cooked coil as they tend to swell.
I am not a guru , but this is what I have found.
